I-693 Medical Exam Record Now Valid Indefinitely

In general, individuals applying for a U.S. green card through the Adjustment of Status process (I-485 application) must undergo a medical exam, and have a Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693) completed by an authorized physician.

On April 4, 2024, USCIS announced that I-693 forms that were signed by USCIS authorized physicians on or after Nov. 1, 2023, will remain valid indefinitely, and will not expire. Previously, these I-693 forms were only valid for 2 years after the physician signed the form. (Any I-693 forms that were signed by the physician prior to Nov. 1, 2023 remain subject to the 2-year expiration date.)
