USCIS Launches Online Form To Request Certain Appointments

USCIS has announced that individuals can now use a USCIS online form to schedule an appointment at their local USCIS office for the following services:

ADIT Stamps:

  • Whenever a lawful permanent resident is not in possession of an unexpired green card, often a temporary solution is to obtain an ADIT stamp while they wait for the issuance of a new green card.

  • The Alien Documentation Identification and Telecommunication (ADIT) stamp (also known as an I- 551 stamp) provides temporary evidence of an individual’s U.S. lawful permanent resident status for work/travel purposes.

Emergency Advance Parole:

  • Advance Parole (AP) is generally needed by individuals who have applied for Adjustment of Status (AOS) and want to travel outside of the U.S. while the AOS application is pending. (In most cases, departing the U.S. without AP results in the abandonment of the AOS application.)

  • AP applications can take up to 6-12 months to be issued.

  • USCIS offers an option to request the expedite of an AP application in an emergency.

Immigration Judge Grant:

  • Individuals who have been granted lawful permanent resident status by an Immigration Judge can request an appointment at the local USCIS field office to initiate card production or obtain evidence of their status.
