COVID Vaccine Required Soon For TN Visa Workers Entering U.S. By Air

Beginning November 2021, all foreign travelers will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (with limited exceptions) before boarding a plane to the United States. Air travelers will also be required to show a negative Covid-19 test obtained within 3 days of departure, or documentation of recovery from Covid-19 in the past 3 months. The CDC is expected to provide further guidance in the near future.

This means that Canadian citizens applying for TN status at a USCBP pre-flight inspection office in Canada will need to provide proof of their Covid-19 vaccination in addition to their negative Covid test or proof of recovery from Covid. It also means that Canadian citizens with pre-approved I-129 TN petitions or with existing TNs, and Mexican citizens with existing TN visa stamps, who are traveling to the U.S. by air will also need to comply with these requirements.
