Congress in Recess; Future of Immigration Debate Uncertain

The Senate and House are in recess and will reconvene on April 24. The Senate was unable to reach agreement on immigration reform legislation before adjourning. The immigration debate may be back on the agenda when the Senate returns. Chairman Specter has scheduled a Judiciary Committee markup on Thursday, April 27, to report out a new version of the immigration reform bill.
