CBP ESTABLISHES NAFTA EXPERT REVIEW AT BLAINE, WA POE

CBP has informed AILA that it has established a NAFTA adjudications trial program at the Pacific Highway port of entry where it will have “NAFTA subject matter experts” available to review NAFTA applications on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 AM until 4 PM. This trial program will be available until Feb. 25, 2010.

Presumably this program is available for citizens of Canada seeking to file applications under each NAFTA visa classification (i.e. TN, L-1, and B-1 visa status). Individuals are not required to utilize this program and may still apply for NAFTA benefits at this port of entry as in the past. See AILA InfoNet Doc. No. 10113070 (posted Nov. 30, 2010).
